The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
